Protect your investment - carpet cleaning in your home.

Employing carpet cleaning services

Carpets provide warmth and comfort in your home. They also add colour and texture. Just like a towel in your bathroom, carpets require cleaning, we recommend annual carpet cleaning in your home.

All kinds of particulate will gradually build up in your home. Skin cells, fuel dust, hair, sand, dust and much more. Regular vacuuming will help, however, deep cleaning using high airflow cleaning equipment and the latest cleaning solutions will return fibres to an almost new condition.

In a world of ever increasing costs, cleaning your carpets costs a small fraction of carpet replacement. But what considerations should be made before employing a carpet cleaning company?

  • Do they have good reviews
  • Are they qualified
  • Do they hold the correct level of insurance
  • Are they a local company
  • Are they DBS checked
  • Will they work with care and attention
  • Are they uniformed professionals
  • Will they arrive in sign written vans

Exploring the above requirements should ensure that a company coming to clean your carpets are professional.

Stair carpet cleaning

We can clean any type of carpet, from pure wool to Sisal and Seagrass. Using the wrong cleaning method can spell disaster. What carpet cleaning methods can be used for specific carpets?

Carpet cleaning methods

There are certain types of carpet that require dry cleaning. Sisal and Seagrass carpets look great, but never allow anyone to wet clean them! Natural fibres like these will tighten and shrink as they dry. Pulling off securing gripper rods. Leaving you with up to an inch gap between skirtings and the carpet.

We use a process called micro sponges. Carpets are vacuumed before applying the sponges directly to the carpet. These are massaged in using a TM4 agitation machine or a power brush for stairs. The sponges absorb dirt and dust over a 15 minute period, these are then recovered using a SEBO professional vacuum cleaner.

We employ a Sisal and Seagrass manufacturer approved cleaning process, safely cleaning this floor covering with no risk.

Seagrass / sisal cleaning

For large areas of office or showroom carpet we use a low profile orbital cleaning system. This carpet cleaning process is extremely effective and fast drying. Removing deep down spillages and staining. Drying times are usually under an hour. Another advantage with this carpet cleaning process is that its operation is almost silent.

Our orbital low profile cleaning machines often surprise our customers, results are considerably better than using a conventional wet cleaning system. We are also happy to give potential customers a free demonstration in their commercial premises.

Hot water extraction cleaning

Hot wter extraction carpet cleaning is the most commonly used carpet cleaning process when carpet cleaning in domestic properties. This process uses water encapsulation to remove dirt, dust and stains in your home.

Before any carpet cleaning takes place, we will prepare all of the carpet areas using a professional agitation machine. This will remove most of the staining before any cleaning takes place.

A powerful extraction machine will be set up (often on a customers doorstep) Pipes for water delivery and recovery are run into the areas that we are cleaning. We slowly work our way out of each room, with dirty water rinsed from the fibres recovered back into our holding tank. Customers are always genuinely shocked when the see the colour of the recovered water (often like Guiness)

The benefits of carpet cleaning

Obvious benefits of carpet cleaning are for appearance. Freshly cleaned carpets look almost new. Once stains have been treated and removed, carpets will resemble their original appearance. Colours look clearer and brighter after dust and debris have been removed.

Indoor air quality is another big carpet cleaning positive too. Over the months, our carpets will contain all sorts of debris. Food and drink, dust, sand, cleaning chemicals and much more. Food remnants will gradually start to rot, generating odours. In addition, as food rots it will have a negative impact on the quality of air we breathe in our home. Reducing the purity and cleanliness of our home space.

For people suffering from Allergies, carpet cleaning is an extremely important service. People with Asthma will find breathing easier. Meaning that living in their homes will become more comfortable.

The financial benefits of carpet cleaning are also important. Professional carpet cleaning represents great economic sense. The cost of carpet cleaning is a small percentage of carpet replacements. We regularly save our customers a lot of money. Also carpet life expectancy will also increase up to 7x!

What to expect when we work in your home.

On arrival at a customers home, we slip on some overshoes and inspect the areas of carpet that we are cleaning. Checking the carpet and environment before any work starts. Then know the best cleaning solutions to use. We can ensure smaller items are out of our way and also identify stains that may need specialist treatments. Careful preparation takes place. This includes using a TM4 agitation machine that will be used to massage our cleaning solutions deep into the pile. Furthermore, this process will remove a large quantity of staining before cleaning / rinsing takes place.

When our pre cleaning treatments are complete, we set up one of our high airflow extractors. Pipework is then carefully fed into your property. As a rule, we will then gradually work our way out of you home, starting from the furthest point in your house.

If we test furniture feet and realise that either wood dye or rust marks will be a problem whilst drying, we place protective squares under furniture feet. Also leaving you with protective overshoes, cleaned areas can be walked on wearing these.

Recovered water after carpet cleaning

All of the dirty water rinsed from the carpet we have cleaned is held in our foul water recovery tank. Customers will often ask to see this. This image is a great example.

All of the carpet contents have now been removed. This water will usually look dark and murky. It will also have an unpleasant odour too.

Its almost quite reassuring to see soil levels like this removed.

On another note, its extremely reassuring knowing that our carpet cleaning solutions are not only incredibly effective but non toxic.

They leave no residues behind in the fibres, no soaps or detergent that can attract more dirt and dust!
